Buttercup Hideaway booking conditions

1. Contract
 The contract entered into is between the owner of The Buttercup Hideaway and the holidaymaker hereinafter referred to as "The hirer". The contract is effective once the required payment has been received from the hirer.

2. Payment
For reservations made more than 8 weeks before the holiday start date this is a deposit of 1/3 of the rental cost. In the case of bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival full payment is due on booking. Payment is accepted via Paypal, bank transfer or cheque.

3. Balance Outstanding
The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable to Buttercup hideaway no later than 8 weeks before the arrival date and if not paid Buttercup Hideaway  reserves the right to cancel the holiday booking, in which case the deposit of 1/3 will be forfeited.

4. Our cancellation policy
 In the event of a cancellation more than 10 weeks before the commencement of the stay, 30% of the rental amount will be payable with a minimum of £180. In the event of cancellation within 10 weeks before the start of the stay, the entire rental amount will be payable.
In the case of early termination of the stay, the entire booking amount is payable.

5. Prices
 The Buttercup Hideaway prices vary depending on many factors including time of booking. Only prices stated on the reservation statement are binding. We occasionally offer special offers and discounts these cannot be applied retrospectively after the confirmation has been received from The Buttercup Hideaway.

6 Making major changes to your holiday.
Whilst we are happy to make adjustment to options required, if you want to make a major change to your holiday then charges may apply.  If, after receiving your confirmation of the booking, you would like to make some alterations to the booking, we are not obliged to make any changes to the holiday booked. However, we will Endeavour to assist when booking are being moved to a more expensive period. Moreover should you wish to move to a less expensive period and/or reduce the number of lodges then cancellation charges will apply.

7. Force Majeure
If, for reasons beyond its control, the Buttercup Hideaway has to cancel or alter arrangements made for the hirer, The Buttercup Hideaway cannot be held liable if through Force Majeure our agreement is entirely or partially, temporarily or permanently, prevented due to circumstances which are beyond the control of The Buttercup Hideaway such as, fire, floods, civil disorder, threat of war, staff strikes, blockades and other interferences or events.

8. Damage or Losses
The Buttercup Hideaway accept no liability for theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay with us. The hirer is responsible for leaving the Canvas Cottage in good order and in a clean condition. The hirer further undertakes to pay for any damage or losses incurred during occupation or any extra cleaning costs incurred. The owner reserves the right to repossess the property if excessive damage has been caused by the hirer or a member of the party.

9. Numbers in party/Suitability/Eligibility
The number of persons occupying a canvas cottage must not exceed the maximum number stated in the property description. Only those listed on the Reservation Form may stay at the property unless by prior arrangement. The agency reserves the right to refuse any booking which, in its opinion, is unsuitable for the property concerned. The person making the booking must be over the age of 18. Day visitors are accepted at an additional charge of £ 3 per person per day. Day visitors must not stay overnight.

10. Occupancy of your Canvas Cottage
Occupancy shall be from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival to 10 a.m. on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed by the agency or the owner.

11.  Site Conditions
In order to make the stay at Buttercup Hideaway as pleasant as possible, all guests must keep to the determined rules of behavior laid down in the site rules. You can ask for details of the full site rules on arrival, from your host. These particular pertain to not making high levels of noise after 10pm, ensuring that Fire pits are at least 4 metres from the canvas cottages and behaving in a considerate and safe manner in regard to the site and fellow guests. In the event that you breach our site rules then we reserve the right to ask any guest to leave the site without compensation for the unspent element of their holiday.

12. Pets
Whilst pets are welcome at The Buttercup hideaway the site is within open country-side with lots of fox and rabbit holes - if you think your dog may wander then seriously consider whether you would want to bring it. We have free range animals on site and dogs should be prevented at all times from causing anxiety or harm to any animals or livestock. Adjacent to livestock pets must be kept on leads at all times and must never be left in a lodge alone. No pets are permitted on beds or in the canopy bed. Your pet is your responsibility at all times and we cannot be held liable should a pet become lost or otherwise during your stay.
We reserve the right to request that any specific dog is placed on a lead at all times when not accompanied in a lodge or vehicle. We also reserve the right to ask any party to terminate their holiday if a pet cannot abide by these requirements or adversely affects another guests’ stay.

13.  Canvas Cottage Descriptions
While Buttercup Hideaway makes every effort to ensure that the canvas cottage descriptions are accurate, it cannot be held responsible for discrepancies, which can occur as a result of changes made. Nor can the Buttercup Hideaway be held responsible for discrepancies resulting from events, which are beyond its control e.g. closure of the village post office/shop or public house.

14. Liability
The Buttercup Hideaway site is located in open countryside with livestock and machinery in close proximity. Children must be supervised at all times. Small site animals are handled. Children should not climb in sheds, animal enclosures or other structures around the site. Guests should be careful around the stoves and never take items from the rear of the stove.

15. If you have a complaint.
We wish you to have an enjoyable stay with us. In the event that there is something that you are not happy about please notify our site manager as soon as possible during your stay. If you are still not satisfied with how matters have been dealt with then you can write to us within 14 days of departure setting out the details of your complaint.
